Is a used 2017 Chevrolet Bolt the best EV for $15,000? Due to the influx of returned 3-year lease vehicles, hundreds of low-mileage under-warranty Bolts have arrived on the market. The most notable examples are present on Carvana and Vroom, with prices as low as $14,500. Even the ones on the lower end of the pricing spectrum have under 40,000 miles. Additionally, many of these examples are fitted with the DC fast charge package, a necessity if you are thinking about taking your Bolt on a road trip. Even with slight degradation, expect above the 238-mile estimate GM provides.
Several months ago, Bolts priced under $17,000 were far and few. Since the market is flooded, it is the best time to go ahead with the purchase as these prices will not last. In typical fashion, whenever the lease returns enter the market, prices will temporarily lower. As a result, now is not the time to sell or trade-in your Bolt, and you should wait to get top dollar.
